‘Circle Spirit Geometry’ is an album 6 years in the making. But it didn’t take 6 years to make – it took about 5 years of thinking about it, and then a year of actual doing to get to this point.

But some of the song ideas do date back to 2010/11 when I left South Africa. A lot of them have been sitting on my Mac as Garage Band demos for all that time, until I finally decided to take things a little more seriously.

I play everything on this album (except the drums of course which I programmed) and recorded everything myself, mixed it (as best I could) and then handed it over Filip, a great guy at Red Mastering, London to put on the finishing touches. The production is not perfect by any means, but I think it’s pretty good, better than some self produced stuff I’ve heard!

I’m happy with the songs, with the album itself – and I’m happy with my performance, with my playing. It’s a mixed bag, a mix of genres, or maybe not – maybe this mix of styles is a genre in itself. Either way I’ve committed 10 tracks to this body of work – some of them are hard rock, some of them are pop rock, there’s a folk song, an instrumental, some groovy blues based stuff but all of it is guitar based. I think you can probably hear my influences in these songs.

You can download it right now at CD Baby. Or you can wait a little while and stream it on Spotify / Apple Music. It’ll be available pretty much everywhere soon. Please review it, please share it.

Please enjoy it! It’s a celebration of life and love and a dedication to my beautiful family 🙂
